Candidates keen to pursue a career as an AETOS Auxiliary Police Officer (APO) will undergo rigorous in-house training conducted by AETOS Training Academy. The APO Course, a residential course required by the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD), comprises 9 modules and is conducted over 8 to 9 weeks, with training in the evening and weekends. Over the course of their training, trainees from different walks of life will come together to learn what it takes to become an APO, building camaraderie and a team spirit that will be critical to their daily work after graduation. Trainees who have prior policing experience, such as former APOs or Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers, will be considered for a Direct APO course.
